What Font Formats do you supply?
Desktop Fonts
Our standard supply format is OpenType OTF, the Adobe font format based on Postscript CFF outlines. Should you require any other format, please get in touch, as we can create fonts in most formats.
Web Fonts
We supply TTF, EOT, SVG, WOFF & WOFF2 formats. Strictly, the only formats required for today’s browsers are WOFF & WOFF2 but some customers will like to have the legacy formats to cover users of older browsers and systems. We supply WOFF & WOFF2 formats as both stand-alone files and as URI data in a CSS file.
E-Publishing Fonts
The format supplied for this is OpenType TTF. It is adapted specifically for use in this environment, however should you require a different format for your E-Publishing project, please get in touch and will do what we can to help you.
Mobile App Fonts
This format is also an adapted version of OpenType TTF, but please contact us if you require another format for your project.
Trial Fonts
These are supplied in OpenType CFF, the same format as Desktop Fonts. We are sorry, but we cannot supply these in any other format.
How do I install the fonts on my computer?
Installing fonts onto a desktop or laptop computer is a simple process. We would however recommend that you use a Font Manager Program to install the fonts. There are many available, some free and some not free.
To install fonts onto a Apple Mac computer, we would recommend that you use the FontBook app on the Mac system. Check out the instructions on this Apple support page.
To install fonts onto a Windows computer without a font manager program, just right-click the font file icon and select ‘Install’ from the menu. Check out the instructions on this Microsoft support page.
How do I use the Web Fonts on my website?
There are many different strategies for incorporating fonts into a website. If you have limited experience of using web fonts, we would suggest studying some resources to familiarise yourself with how they work.
How do I know if the fonts support the languages I require?
The common range of languages supported by the fonts are shown on the Typeface page under ‘Technical Info’ at the bottom.
If you have a requirement for a less common language, put the language name in the search box in the page footer to see what fonts we have that will support that language.
If the fonts you require do not have the necessary language coverage, contact us, and we will do our best to help.
Can I make modifications to the fonts myself?
No, This is not permitted under any of our license agreements. If you need changes to one or more of our fonts, please contact us so that we can discuss your requirements.
Can I use the fonts for film or television broadcasting?
No, not using any of the fonts from our website. This use comes under our Broadcasting License and is not available online. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
